How does it work?

You’ll need to answer some simple questions about your property transaction in order for us to give you a detailed estimate.

The process is straightforward and will give you a breakdown of exactly what’s included in your quote from beginning to end.

How do I use the calculator?

You’ll need to tell us what type of transaction you’re doing from the following:

  • Purchasing a property

  • Selling a property

  • Remortgaging a property

  • Both selling and buying a property

You’ll then answer some questions about the property. We will also need your contact information as well as the value and address of the property or properties.

What were the stamp duty land tax holiday rates?

Up until June 30th 2021, the rates were as follows:

  • Up to £500,000 – zero

  • The next £425,000 (from £500,001 to £925,000) – 5%

  • The next £575,000 (from £925,001 to £1.5 million) – 10%

  • £1.5 million and above – 12%

From July 1st 2021:

  • Up to £250,000 – zero

  • The next £675,000 (from £250,001 to £925,000) – 5%

  • The next £575,000 (from £925,001 to £1.5 million) – 10%

  • £1.5 million and above – 12%

What details will you need?

In terms of the property transaction details, we’ll need the following:

  • Price

  • How many parties are involved

  • Whether it’s a freehold or leasehold

  • The address(es)

The personal details we require include:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Phone number
